Downton Cuckoo Fair is viewed by its insurers as a commercial organiser and as such it faces additional requirements. For example, the requirement for a qualified electrician to install the lights on the tree and for the condition of the tree to be regularly monitored. The latter significantly increased the insurance fee in 2022.
